Recently my husband and I started a ministry The Blessing Tree, helping families in need. After the Lord impressed upon both our hearts at different times, we spoke with one another and realized the Lord was saying the same thing to both of us. A few days later the Lord placed a single Mom of 3 in our path. She was moving into her own place and only had the clothes on their backs. We had no clue what to do so we simply asked. We put a call out for help and boy did other help! Our little family walked into their trailer with nothing, and in 10 days, they were completely set up! They had everything needed including washer/dryer, furniture, clothing, even toothbrushes, a stocked pantry, toys, TV and much more! Our community stepped up and met the need! We now have had 8 families cross our paths that we're still involved with, love on, mentor and help navigate life's challenges.
We did not have enough "stuff" to help, but our community reached down and donated their items and what a joy it was not only to our families, but I am sure the Lord was looking down smiling as well.
People are hurting and in time like these, you may not have the time, energy, resources but we can each do something to be an encouragement to one another. How can you share your stuff to love and share like Jesus?
