When our oldest was little, we had a VHS tape of Steve Green Kids Bible Verse Songs and one of the songs was I Thessalonians 5:11 "Encourage one another and build each other up!" Our son played that tape 10 times a day! He would dance around the living room singing and jumping. As I read this chapter this song came to mind. Encourage one another, go find your old self and become a mentor. You've walked the journey, you can love her, guide her, understand her and lead her in the direction of Christ.
You know the old saying, "I went to encourage them and they encouraged me?" Same applies in this situation. Reach out and be an encouragement and watch what takes place in your own life. Rescue someone and in turn, you'll look back and realize you were rescued.
How can you use the concepts in 2 Corinthians 1:4 to uplift someone in a similar situation that you've walked through? Ask God to bring someone into your life that you can mentor, love on, encourage, teach and bless. They are out there waiting!
